CoParent Sync ("we", "us", "our") helps parents, grandparents and carers coordinate the care of the children they look after. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it and the choices you have. By using the app you agree to this policy.
• Account details: your name, email address and password (stored securely, hashed).
• Family content you add: diary entries, calendar events and reminders, messages and photos/videos, to-do lists, expenses, child profiles (including information you choose to add such as routines, allergies, doctor and emergency contacts), documents you upload, goals, contacts, decisions and holiday schedules.
• Usage and device information needed to operate the app (for example basic logs and, if you enable them, push notification tokens).
• Subscription status from Apple or Google via our payments provider (RevenueCat). We do not receive or store your full card details.
CoParent Sync is intended for use by adults (parents, guardians and carers) to organise the care of children. Children do not use the app directly. Any information about a child is entered by the adult family members, who are responsible for ensuring they have the right to share it. We treat this information as sensitive and protect it as described below.
We use your information to: provide and secure the app; sync content between the members of your family group; send reminders and (if enabled) push notifications; process subscriptions; provide the optional AI message-tone assistant; respond to support requests; and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Content you add is shared with the other members of your family group according to their role. Parents/guardians have full access; carers have limited, mostly read-only access to routines, diary and photos. You control who is in your family group via invitations.
We use trusted third parties to run the app, who process data only on our behalf: cloud file storage (Cloudflare R2) for photos, videos and documents; email delivery (for password resets); RevenueCat and the Apple App Store / Google Play for subscriptions; and an AI provider to power the optional message-tone assistant (message text you choose to check is processed to return a suggestion and is not used to train models). Hosting and database services store your data securely.
Data is stored on secure servers and access is protected by authentication. Passwords are hashed. Files are stored privately and served via time-limited links. While no system is completely secure, we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information.
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual items in the app at any time, and you can permanently delete your entire account and personal data from within the app at any time via Settings → Personalise app → Account → Delete account. If you are the only member of your family, deleting your account also removes your family's shared data. We may retain limited records where required to comply with the law.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at coparentsync@gmail.com. If you are in the UK/EU, our lawful basis for processing is performance of our contract with you and our legitimate interest in operating the service.
Paid subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play and are subject to their terms. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings.
We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
